Sales and Ticketing Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales and Ticketing Manager who will be responsible for delivering customer service excellence within the Box Office at Aberdeen Performing Arts. 

You will work across all three of our venues - His Majesty’s Theatre, The Music Hall and The Lemon Tree - in this critical role, responsible for all aspects of our Box Office team.   As well as the sales function, you will be responsible for developing, honing and monitoring the APA Welcome, ensuring that everyone who interacts with the organisation has a first-class experience. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in sales and customer service, with good experience in leading and motivating teams.  You will be dynamic, hard-working, a team player  and able to work under your own initiative.  With a strong commercial mind, you must be able to identify opportunities to maximise income and upsell. Known for your excellent communication and relationship management skills, you will also have a high level of organisational and planning ability.  Experience in Box Office/Ticketing management and working with a ticketing system is desirable.

Aberdeen Performing Arts is a creative hub and focal point for the performing arts, community engagement and talent development in the North-East of Scotland.  With three iconic city centre venues, we present, produce and commission diverse and distinctive arts and cultural programmes of regional and national reach and impact.  As well as servicing the customers in our own venues, we provide a box office service for 30+ venues in the North-East.   We are an ambitious company and have big plans for the future.  We are undertaking a complete transformation of Aberdeen's much-loved Music Hall, undergoing a multi-million pound redevelopment, which is due to open at the end of this year.  We continue to expand our music and book festivals, True North and Granite Noir, and  Freshly Squeezed Productions, our producing arm supports new talent, new writing and new ways of working collaboratively across the arts.
